Alexis graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cyprus, demonstrating his foundational knowledge in the field. He possesses certifications from both ACCA and ADIT, with a specialized focus on EU VAT. Alexis’s commitment to professional development is evident through his accreditation with the VAT Compliance Diploma (UK syllabus) from The Association of Taxation of Technicians.

Between 2011 and 2014, Alexis enhanced his expertise in the Indirect Tax department of a prominent Big-4 firm. During this period, he provided invaluable VAT advisory services to multinational corporations, acquiring a comprehensive understanding of complex tax matters.

Since becoming a member of KPMG Cyprus in 2015, Alexis’s contributions have significantly impacted the Indirect Tax department in Limassol. He diligently delivers VAT advisory services to esteemed portfolio clients hailing from the shipping, financing, real estate, and e-commerce sectors. Moreover, Alexis extends his advisory prowess to clients engaged in international trade, further enriching his diverse experience.

In 2022, Alexis assumed a significant role as one of the main facilitators in a series of seminars focusing on the EU VAT Directive for KPMG EMA region member firms. He meticulously analyzed the core Articles of the Directive 2006/112/EC, contributing to the comprehensive understanding of this pivotal legislation. Additionally, Alexis took on the role of mentor for specific teams involved in case studies as part of the program, showcasing his leadership and coaching skills.
